Selected experience in global health and international development through activities undertaken since the early 2000’s in different countries.

  • International NGO- and Fellowship-sponsored research projects on biomedical waste management, environmental sanitation, HIV/AIDS care access, urban water supply and watershed management, and infectious disease epidmiology. Projects in Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Senegal, and The Gambia. More recent opportunities for research collaboration on environmental health and climate change issues. (1999 - 2009; 2022).

  • Technical capacity building across several countries in Africa to address gaps in WASH staffing and programming by the World Vision and partners. Project covered 24 countries in East, West, and and Southern Africa. (2014).

  • Worked with partners in the US, Canada, Nigeria, and The Netherlands to provide professional technical services to various entities in Nigeria. E.g., partnered with US- and Canada-based companies on product and knowledge transfer initiatives and capacity building in Nigeria. (2014 - 2016).

  • Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Environmental Audit (EA), and Environmental Baseline Surveys for multinational oil companies and govt. enities in Nigeria. Also, a member of the UNDP Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) project in Nigeria. More recent opportunities for research collaboration on environmental health and climate change issues. (2000 - 2001; 2022)
